Our Safety

 

Occupational Health & Safety Policy

 

Roma Diesel Service (hereafter referred to as RDS) is responsible for effectively delivering a large range of industrial services including manufacturing and service delivery to the oil, gas and allied industries and this Environmental Policy applies to all divisions throughout the organisation. 

RDS recognises its obligation to take all reasonable precautions to provide and maintain a workplace that is safe and without risks or injury as per the Workplace Health and Safety ACT 1995 and Regulations 2008 legislative requirements.

           

We are committed to: 

 

  • Implementing and maintaining an OHS management system that facilitates a structured approach to the management of OHS risk. 
  • Ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of the system. 
  • Identifying hazards and eliminating or minimizing risk. 
  • Proactively identifying and managing health and safety risk.  
  • Maintaining a safe work environment, infrastructure, plant, substances and equipment. 
  • Providing documented safe work methods.  
  • Promoting a safety culture that encourages people to proactively manage health and safety risk.  
  • Continual improvement in OHS performance.  

 

We will achieve this by: 

  • Keeping current with relevant health and safety legislation. 
  • Providing adequate human, financial and time resources to maintain the system. 
  • Ensuring that incidents and hazards are promptly reported and investigated and control measures put into place to eliminate or minimise the chance of reoccurrence. 
  • Ensuring that staff, contractors and stakeholders take all reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their conduct and must co-operate with RDS in relation to actions taken by RDS to comply with occupational health and safety legislation. 
  • Ensuring staff, contractors and other stakeholders do not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse buildings, plant & equipment or anything provided in the interests of health and safety or welfare. 
  • Encouraging consultation and co-operation between management, employees, contractors and other stakeholders. 
  • Establishing an Occupational Environment Health and Safety Committee (the OHES Committee) which in turn will encourage the election of employee health and safety representatives who are consulted and involved in any workplace changes which could affect health and safety. 
  • Providing training, instruction, information and supervision to all stakeholders. 
  • Routinely monitor and review the OH&S Management system.

 

This Occupational Health & Safety Policy will be reviewed by management 12 months from the date below as part of the OHS Management System review.

We value the health and safety of our staff, customers and sub contractors as the highest of priority. We embrace safe work practices, provide training on  health & safety and supply all necessary safety equipment.

We are currently undergoing accreditation for certification to:
