Roma, QLD :: Head Office

Roma Diesel’s fabrication workshop is located at 49 Spencer Street, in Roma Queensland.  The premises are only 2 years old spanning 680m², with an overhead crane capable of lifting 5 tonne.  We currently employ 30 pressure welders who have the capability of producing approximately 3960MM of weld per 8 hour shift.  All of the welders are pre-qualified in TIG, Flux Cord, Sub Arc, Stick and STT welding procedures.

Roma Diesel Service currently uses the following material in the fabrication workshop:

  • Stainless Steel
  • Carbon Steel
  • Aluminium Steel

With these skills and equipment, Roma Diesel Service is able to produce the following products:

  • Pressure Vessels (class 1, 2 and 3) in accordance with Australian Standard 1210, from 1m up to 6m in length and 5m in diameter 
  • Spool work and piping to Australian Standard 40/41 
  • Frac tanks
  • Two and three phase separators with associated pipe work.
  • General fabrication including: 
    • large generator canopies 
    • large oil field skids high pressure pumping skids
    • high pressure cement pumping units
    • gas fuel scrubber pots
    • meter runs
    • diesel fuel tanks up to 30,000 litres
  • Site fabrication including:
    • compressor stations
    • RO plants
    • weld head construction
    • small pipe lines and tie ends
    • small power stations up to 5 megawatt
  • Engineering and Drafting capabilities which consist of:
    • 3 mechanical engineers
    • 1 electrical engineer
    • Quality Assurance Officer
    • Welding Supervisor 

Paint & Blasting Booth

Additionally, Roma Diesel Service also has its own 500m² Arden spray painting and blasting booth.  We currently employ 2 qualified blaster/painters to complete the various products that Roma Diesel produces.

Our blasting room is 8m wide x 12m long x 5m high and is fully air-conditioned, using new blasting technology called Sponge Jet.

Our painting and baking booth is 8m wide x 18m long x 5m high and has complete temperature and humidity control. This booth allows us to operate in all weather conditions and provides 24 hour painting facilities in which all conditions can be controlled.
